Things That Happen (2000-2008)

Things that Happen is an on-going three-channel video installation, currently consisting of 24 vignettes, each ranging in length from about one to five minutes. An amalgam of eastern meditation, pop humor, and romantic melancholy, these fix-framed videos observe the quiet revelations hidden in the mechanics of everyday phenomenon. Meant to reward the patience of observation, this cumulative piece slowly reveals the strange, coincidental, and lyrical flow of commonplace occurrences.
